Multi Barrier Approach to Safe Drinking Water
MECP Director Approved 0.4 CEU, 4 hour course
The multi-barrier approach is an integrated system of procedures, processes, and tools that collectively prevent or reduce the contamination of drinking water from source to tap in order to reduce risks to public health. The multi barrier approach is widely accepted by the scientific, regulatory and water supplier communities.
The ultimate goal of the multi barrier approach is successful and responsible system operation, reducing risks and thereby increasing protection.
At the successful completion of this course students will have a better understanding of the concepts of the multi barrier approach.
